Today, September 11th 2015 is Polling Day in Singapore – an ironic date for those who remember 9/11 affair and day (Friday) when it’s usually on Saturdays. It’s my 2nd time voting, although when Mdm Halimah Yacob came by (in what seemed like a very rushed affair) she did ask me if I’m above 21. Yes, I had to mention that 🙂
A couple of interesting articles (as usual) have come about this election season, including memes by BBC! Another article (which may seem to sway in 1-direction, GE2015: 10 unexpected moments from the 2015 General Election – so far.
Good thing there’s YouTube and updates online, so took the past few days to review and compare certain pointers – which are closer to heart. There’s been a couple of really good debate this season and some complete chaos (caught on camera)! Opposition standing against the ruling party in my zone is SDP.

Armed with my Dad on his wheels, we headed for the Polling on a winding path to a nearby Secondary school (right beside my Primary school) and the voting took less than 5mins to verify ID, vote and drop into the ballot box. The path (on wheels) took longer than the actual voting and #ahpehonwheels did almost fall once when he tried to go on the slope on his own, hmm! But the school zone itself had a couple of slopes temporarily installed for fellow folks on wheels.
Not sure why the GE Volunteers had to jot down my Polling number on the Polling card though 😉 Regardless, it’s a good way to exercise my rights – contrary to some of my dear pals who happen to be overseas during this period or are simply not keen on voting. Sometimes it’s circumstances I suppose.
Also, #insiderenemy’s ex-colleagues who stayed here previously have completely not come by to pick up their Polling Cards even though she did try to contact them.
Results will be out around midnight! *fingers crossed*
Good for you for voting! I know so many people who don’t exercise their right to vote only to turn around and complain when political things go “poorly.”

YES, omg – exactly & thanks! It’s really annoying to listen to these people even more so. I don’t understand why they don’t Vote though.
